Migrate from Later Influence for product seeding

Later Influence exports your member creators with contact details and shipping addresses, which is what a Portifer seeding campaign needs. This guide follows Later's own export documentation and shows where each part lands in Portifer.

1. Export from your current setup

  • In Later Influence, open Influencers, set the data source to My Members, filter if you want, then choose the ellipsis menu and the export icon. Later emails you the file. Later says influencer exports include contact details, shipping addresses and lifetime performance history.
  • To export one campaign, open its Workflow tab, open the stage you want and use the export icon. Campaign exports add campaign-specific columns, such as answers from the campaign application.
  • Under Incentives, Export CSV gives tracking numbers, cost and value data and shipping addresses for past product sends. Keep it as your send history.
  • Only My Members profiles can be exported. Later excludes Influencer Index profiles that have not opted in, and creators still in the Candidates or Invited stage.

2. Set up Portifer

  • Export your recipient or contact list from the current tool as CSV or Excel.
  • Import it in Portifer under Dashboard → Data. Portifer suggests a column mapping; check it and confirm.
  • Add your products to the catalogue and rebuild the box in the box builder, with variants and inserts.
  • Connect your carrier accounts under Settings → Carriers, or agree managed fulfilment with us.
  • Recreate your survey questions and feedback tasks in the campaign, then send a small test cohort before the full send.

3. What maps to what

What you have nowWhere it lives in Portifer
Member creator with shipping addressBox recipient with street, city, postal code and country
Workflow stage or groupTags on the box recipient
Incentive (a product send)Package in a Portifer campaign, with label and tracking on your carrier account
Campaign application questionsCampaign survey questions
Content from creators' postsPhoto and video upload tasks on the recipient page, uploaded by the creator

4. Before your full send

  • Rename the export's columns to Portifer's box recipient headers (company, name, email, phone, street, city, postal code, country, notes, tags) or paste the rows into the downloadable template. If first and last names are in separate columns, join them into one name column, because rows without a name are skipped. A file can hold up to 5,000 rows and 5 MB.
  • Add a company column if the export has none, because the box recipient import requires one. The creator's channel or brand name works.
  • Put handles in the notes column and stages or groups in the tags column. Separate several tags with semicolons and wrap that cell in double quotes, as the template does; an unquoted semicolon starts a new column.
  • Send a small test cohort and open the recipient page on a phone to check address confirmation and the upload tasks.

5. How long each stage takes

We have not yet published measured switching times across customers, so this guide shows what each stage depends on and the product defaults instead of a typical number of days. We will add measured times once enough switches have been completed to report them honestly.

StageWhat decides how long it takes
Export and importYour export from the current tool plus the import. Campaign contact files take up to 5,000 rows and 10 MB, with a suggested column mapping you check before importing; recipient lists take up to 1,000 rows per file. Split larger lists into several files.
Box and carriersHow many products and variants you rebuild, and whether your Bring, PostNord, DHL Express, UPS or FedEx accounts are ready to connect.
Address confirmation (optional)5 days by default, adjustable from 1 to 30 per campaign. Recipients who have not confirmed get one automatic reminder 3 days after the request when the deadline is later than that, and you can resend it from the campaign. When the deadline passes, the package is confirmed automatically with the address on file.
Test cohortCarrier transit time to your test recipients, plus the time you give them to open their page.
Full send and feedbackCarrier transit time and the response window you choose. A follow-up sequence can start when a parcel is delivered or its QR code is scanned, so reminders follow the parcel rather than a fixed date.
  • How we will measure switching times

What does not move

  • Social post and content performance history. Portifer does not track social posts; download the Content Summary CSV and media from Later's Content tab and keep them.
  • Creator payments and transactions (Stripe, PayPal or Tango Cards in Later). Portifer has no creator payouts.
  • Creators who are only in the Influencer Index. Later does not export them, and Portifer has no creator discovery.
  • Reports. Export them from Later's Reports tab as PDF or CSV before you leave.

When to stay with Later Influence

  • You rely on creator discovery, social post tracking or creator payments. Portifer does none of these.
  • Product sends are a small part of your influencer programme and the rest of it runs well in Later Influence.

6. Keep in mind

  • The box recipient import matches column names; it does not ask you to map columns, so check the headers before you upload.
  • There is no Later Influence integration; the move is a one-off file export and import.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Later Influence export include shipping addresses?

Yes, according to Later's help centre: influencer exports include contact details and shipping addresses, and incentive exports include the shipping address of each send. Only creators in My Members can be exported.

Can Portifer keep tracking creators' posts after the move?

No. Portifer collects the photos, videos and answers creators upload on their recipient page. Social post tracking stays with a social or influencer tool.

How long does switching to Portifer take?

It depends on your list, your box and carrier transit times, not on a fixed onboarding period. Campaign contact files of up to 5,000 rows import in one step after you check the column mapping; if you use address confirmation, recipients have 5 days by default (adjustable from 1 to 30), get one automatic reminder after 3 days when the deadline is later than that, and packages they have not confirmed by the deadline are confirmed automatically with the address on file. We do not publish a typical number of days yet because we have not measured enough switches.
